2. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. The website may also use similar technologies, such as local storage, to remember preferences or enable services. These technologies may serve technical, statistical or advertising purposes.

3. Technologies identified in the website code

Inspection of the public code identified the services below. Code alone does not establish which cookies are installed following each user choice. A final inventory requires browser testing before and after consent.

Lodgify: website platform, property search, bookings and cookie preferences. Functions strictly necessary for the requested service may use technical storage.
Language preference: custom code uses local storage under the key cefalhome-language to remember the selected language. The code sets no expiry; it remains until site data is deleted by the user or browser.
Google Ads: tag AW-11033912296 is present for advertising measurement features configured in the account. Its actual configuration, including any cookieless signals and connection to user choices, requires verification.
Lodgify Google Analytics: the platform code exposes identifier G-GTQS7L994W. Actual loading, controller roles and cookies must be checked against the banner and Lodgify documentation.
Elfsight: the review widget may disclose technical data to its provider. Delayed loading using the “lazy” attribute is not consent-based blocking.
YouTube: property pages embed videos through youtube-nocookie.com. This does not mean that no data is communicated to Google; loading and technologies activated during playback require verification.
WhatsApp and Instagram: custom buttons link to external services. Clicking opens the selected service, which is subject to its own privacy notice.

4. Cookie choices

The Lodgify banner offers options to accept all, reject all or customise preferences, with the ability to reopen cookie settings. Strictly necessary technologies do not require consent; technologies that require consent must remain disabled until the relevant choice. Browsing and scrolling do not constitute consent.

Technical verification still required: check that the banner also controls Google Ads, Elfsight and YouTube inserted through custom code. It has not been established that rejecting cookies blocks these services.

5. Technical inventory and retention

Before publication, record each cookie or technology actually used: name, domain or provider, purpose, category, duration and activation conditions. Only the language preference storage key above has been confirmed in this version. Unverified cookie names or durations are not attributed to the website.

6. Browser settings

You can delete cookies and site data, restrict third-party cookies or block storage through your browser privacy settings. Deletion may also remove your language preference and previous choices. Blocking necessary storage may prevent certain functions from working properly.
